This policy explains what data MdS Websites collects when you visit mdswebsites.co.uk or get in touch, why we collect it, and the rights you have. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site and respond to enquiries.
Who we are

Enquiries & the contact form
When you submit our contact form or email us, we collect the details you provide — typically your name, email address, phone number (if given) and your message. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to deliver our services. The lawful basis is your consent and our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us. We don’t use these details for marketing without your agreement, and we never sell them.
Analytics — Cloudflare Web Analytics
To understand how visitors use the site (for example, which pages are popular), we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is privacy-first and cookieless: it sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not collect personal data or build a profile of you. It only runs after you choose “Accept all” for analytics in our cookie banner — if you reject, no analytics script loads at all. The lawful basis is your consent.
Cookies & consent
We group anything stored on your device into two categories:
- Necessary — required for the site and your cookie choice to work. These are always on. This includes a small record of your consent preference so we don’t ask you on every page.
- Analytics — optional. Enables the cookieless Cloudflare analytics described above. Off until you accept.
You can change your mind at any time: manage your cookie preferences.
Google Maps (contact page)
Our contact page embeds a Google Map so you can find us. When that map loads, Google may set its own cookies and receive your IP address and device information, in line with Google’s Privacy Policy. This is provided by Google as a third party; we don’t control the data Google collects through it.
Hosting & security
The site is hosted by Hostinger. Like most web hosts, their servers automatically log standard technical information (such as IP addresses and browser type) to keep the service secure and running. These logs are held by Hostinger as our processor under their own terms.
Who we share data with
We don’t sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the site and our business, acting on our behalf:
- Hostinger — website hosting.
- Cloudflare — cookieless analytics (only with your consent).
- Google — the embedded map on the contact page.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence only as long as needed to deal with your request and for our legitimate business records, after which it is deleted. Cloudflare analytics data is aggregated and non-identifying. Hosting logs are retained per Hostinger’s standard periods.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the personal data we hold about you, to object to certain processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email info@mdswebsites.co.uk and we’ll respond within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
